The Late Bishop Charles Don Sessions Son of the late Don and Rudell Sessions was born on March 24, 1937 in Myrtle Beach S.C. He graduated from Whittemore High School in 1956.

Bishop Sessions was raised in the A.M.E. Church as a child and when he became of age, he visited Sheilds Chapel F.B.H. Church and gave his life to Christ at and early age. He always valued his salvation. So he joined The Shields Chapel F.B.H. Church. He remained faithful in spite of oppositions. He served as the church musician and choir director.

After completing high school, he migrated to Brooklyn N.Y. and joined St. John F.B.H. Church under the great leadership of the late Rev. Myrtle Feemster Grayer, where he served as the musician and Jr. Pastor. He was also a member of the Savoy recording artist group “The Cavaliers”.

He was called to the ministry in 1961 and preached his initial sermon in 1962. In 1968 he was commissioned to be the Pastor of Zion Tabernacle F.B. H. Church where he served there for 5 years. Many souls were saved and added to the church, many was brought from the background to the front. He attended the Y.P.I. Bible School; The Manhattan Bible Institute and the O.M. Kelly Institute where he received his Doctorate of Divinity and Sacred Scritures.

Our Founder was called out to organize THE UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF GOD in 1973, which started with 18 disciples working hard to build the church, under the leadership of this great warrior. He was consecrated as Bishop Sessions presided over the United Pentecostal Churches.

He has been a father, friend, counselor, servant, and humanitarian to many people. He was a great teacher, and a dynamic anointed preacher who has imparted wisdom in many in difficult situations he is truly a legend in our time “ THE HONORABLE DR. CHARLES DON SESSIONS”.
